![]() The comic is not without its differences from the film, positive and negative. ![]() The artwork is simply gorgeous, done by Berni Wrightson (who also illustrated the King novels 'The Stand' and 'Cycle of the Werewolf'), and the narration for the "Creepshow Creep" (a sort of stand-in for the Cryptkeeper) is noth ing short of hilarious. But how many people know there actually was a comic? Creepshow the movie is based off of the old EC Comics like 'Tales from the Crypt' and 'Vault of Horror,' so it made sense for them to release a one-shot trade paperback containing comic book versions of all five stories in the film. ![]() By now, I think everyone knows the five stories featured in it, and that the framing story revolves around the titular comic book. 1982's 'Creepshow,' directed by George Romero, written by Stephen King and featuring special effects from Tom Savini, is an 80's classic that few dispute. ![]()
